General Meetings

General meetings of the Haddenham U3A take place on the second working Monday AND third Thursday of each month (except August) at 2.15 for 2.30pm start. There are two meetings each month to accommodate the number of U3A members who wish to attend. Members can attend either a Monday or Thursday meeting as they wish. The meetings take place at:

Youth & Community Centre
Woodways
Haddenham HP17 8DS

The centre is situated to the right of Haddenham Junior School, and there is a car park opposite.

Invited guests speak on a wide variety of topics of general interest. In these meetings we try to enable an increased awareness of our locality and our world and culture with a balanced programme to meet U3A aims. Each speaker is invited to give his/her talk to BOTH the Monday and the Thursday meeting, so all members will have a chance to hear them.

We hope you will enjoy our meetings and learn something new. These sessions usually last for an hour and a half, including time to socialise with a cup of tea.

Once per year, usually in May, the U3A holds its Annual General Meeting at the MONDAY meeting. The Chairman’s address is repeated at the Thursday meeting, but if U3A members wish to debate and vote on any substantive issues, they should attend the full AGM at the Monday meeting. The minutes of past AGMs can be found on the Annual General Meetings page of this site (click here). Immediately prior to the AGM itself the papers are also published on that page.

Costs

General meetings are free to members of Haddenham U3A. A charge of £1.50 is made for guests.
